The R.K.S.M. was established in 1954. The main aim of the trust was to serve the society locally. With a view empowering women through education the trust established a women's college for B.Ed. trainee. Anand Education college. Anand is working with a motto of vidya (knowledge) vinay (modesty) and seva (service) since 1981.

It was a burning desire of the society to uplift women through profession of Education so an exclusive institute providing excellent women teacher was set up. The institute prepares future Teachers who can work in Remote village areas and megacities not only Locally but also globally. The institution has majestically scaled the ladders of success. The institute has concern for qualitative education and it is imparting it through its innumerable curricular and extra curricular activities. The results of university exams are the reflections of the sincere efforts carried out by its staff members. Barring, few years the trainee of this college is awarded Gold medal.

Syllabus :
The institute runs syllabus prepared by faculty of Education. The staff members are directly involved in the preparation of latest syllabus according to the recent trends of Education & U.G.C. Norms.

The syllabus of the B.Ed. Course is designed to provide the most in-demand skills and is updated regularly.

The B.Ed. course comprises of six papers to provide theoretical knowledge of the areas relating to education.

Theoretical Part of Training:

Paper - I Education in Emerging Indian Society
 
Paper comprises of concept of education, educational philosophy, educational objectives of secondary education with reference tc NEP, Educational Thinkers, Value Education, Education and Indian Society, Indian culture, modernization, problems and solutions of present Indian society, teacher in emerging India.


Paper - 2 Development of Learner and Teaching Learning Process.
 
Paper comprises of nature of Educational Psychology, personality, adjustment, group behavior and motivation, learning and learner with special needs, importance of educational statistics and uses of central tendency and variability, concept and uses of percentile rank and correlation, concept of evaluation and measurement and tools of evaluation.


Paper - 3 Elements of Educational Management and Recent Trends in Education.
 
Paper comprises of educational management, organization and technology, educational leadership, decision making communication and educational agencies, trends in teaching and leaming, secondary education act, academics programs of the school.


Paper - 4 Method of Teaching: (Gujarati, English, Mathematics, Economics)
 
Paper comprises of meaning and nature of subject, methods of teaching, teaching aids, psychological bases of teaching. (All these are differing from subject to subject).


Paper - 5 Method of Teaching (Hindi, Sanskrit, Science, Commerce, History)
 
Paper comprises of meaning and nature of subject, method of teaching, teaching aids, psychological bases of teaching. (All these are differing from subject to subject).


Paper - 6 Special Field : (Student has to select any one)
 
a) Career Information in career Guidance
Paper comprises of fundamentals of Guidance, studying the individual information services, application of testing teachniques, information services, organization of group-guidance programs.

b) Measurement and Evaluation in Education
Paper comprises of the concept of evaluation process, specification of educational objectives in terms of learning outcomes in the context of bloom taxonomy. construction of teachermade test, construction and standardization of test, tools and techniques of evaluation, techniques. and statistical comparison.

c) Population Education
Paper comprises of concept and need of population education, areas of learning in population situation, population explosion, population and quality of life, role of the dew agencies in population education, population education in school.

 


Practical Part:
 
Along with theoretical knowledge of Education, trainees have to perform actually in the classroom to develop few competencies and skills required to become a teacher. They have to use their theoretical knowledge in the classroom by using various methods of teaching, using teaching aids, evaluation of students, by performing cultural programs at school level. The practical part consists of 40 lessons, which are to be given in secondary schools.

Anand Education College is in the Educational complex of Shree Ramkrishna Seva Mandal. It has hostel facility for the students’ Rooms of the hostel are spacious and airy. The students are served nutritive food.

For the over all development of trainess, quality Education is the demand of time. In the institute we conduct co-curricular activities. In order to keep our trainess well informed we conduct quiz on science & technology for the trainees as well as the students of various High School & Higher Secondary School during practice teaching, block teaching & internship programme.

The Trainess are motivated to organize & implement special programmes which provide not only dynamic leadership but also a special training for the future school programmes.

Every year we celebrate 'youth week' in which almost all the activities are carried out by the trainees them selves. These cultural activities include folk dance, Patriotic Song, Slogan writing etc.

We also celebrate special days such as population day, world literacy day, Teachers' day, Rakshabandhan, Gandhi Jayanti, Sanskrit Day, we also celebrate youth week & Hindi week.

The College has large collection of latest book on Education. College subscribes magazines for the professional development of staff & Trainees.

We have total 6807 Books which include 1440 UGC Books, 3623 Library Books, 830 Gift Books, 914 Vidhyadan Yojna, Encyclopedia 7 & 29 Magazines. s

'ABHIVYAKTI' is a special corner where all the trainees & staff members exhibit their creative work on various subjects.
