FIELDWORK AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES OF THE INSTITUTE |

Institute
believes that need satisfaction is a right of
the people in a welfare state and that collaborative
ventures go a long way in realising this right.
As a part of the fieldwork students are involved
in various outreach programmes for the community
welfare.
The major highlights are:

2285
patients diagnosed of eye problems and
79 operations of cataract performed in
vision camps conducted in collaboration
with District Blindness Control Society,
Anand. |

(b) |
Cleanliness
drives organised as a part of Nirmal Gujarat
celebrations in Anand. |
|
(c) |
We
supported the right to life and right
to safety and security of the flood-hit
villagers by organising flood relief work
in association with Healing Touch at Nadiad
and at Bamroli village.

Several
children of Anand are immunised against the
polio-mellitus during National Pulse Polio Immunisation
days, where our children not only administer
the vaccine but also supervise the vaccination
booths to maintain the cold-chain quality of
vaccine. |
